Sonic Drink & Slush Calculator: Calories, Sugar & Add-Ins

Sonic's nutrition guide lists the plain slush and each flavor add-in as separate rows, by size. Add the two rows for your size. For a Medium: the plain slush is 240 calories and 66 g sugar, and the Cherry add-in adds 25 calories and 5 g sugar, so a Medium Cherry slush is 265 calories and 71 g sugar. The calculator above does this sum for you.

Sonic's guide lists 5 zero-sugar flavor add-ins: Blackberry, Cherry, Mango, Peach, Raspberry. They add no sugar to the plain slush, which still has 66 g of sugar at Medium, so a Medium Cherry Zero Sugar slush is 240 calories and 66 g sugar. Sonic's allergen guide notes the zero-sugar flavors are artificially sweetened.

No. The zero-sugar add-in itself adds no sugar, but the plain slush underneath has 66 g at Medium on its own. In the calculator, switch the add-in between Cherry and Cherry Zero Sugar and compare: only the add-in's 5 g at Medium goes away.

At Medium, NERDS Candy is the highest in Sonic's guide at 41 g of sugar for the add-in alone. The add-in table above can be sorted by any size. Stacking several add-ins adds up each one's sugar, which the calculator shows.

Sonic lists total sugar, not added sugar, so no exact comparison is possible. For a reference point only, the American Heart Association suggests no more than 25 g (women) or 36 g (men) of added sugar a day. The calculator shows your build's total sugar as a share of both numbers and as teaspoons (4 g each). A Medium Cherry Limeade, for example, lists 60 g of sugar.

No. Sonic lists its cream slushes as finished items with their own rows, so the calculator does not stack add-ins on them. Choose "Plain slush" if you want a flavored slush from the base.

Some do. The calculator shows the allergens Sonic marks for your drink and each add-in, and the allergen table on this page lists every add-in. Where Sonic does not list a drink or add-in separately, the page says so and that is not a clearance. Sonic says it cannot eliminate cross-contact, so tell your carhop about any allergy and check the Sonic allergen guide.

Sonic's published guides do not list add-in prices, and prices vary by location and app. We would rather show no number than a guess. Your app or carhop shows the real price before you pay.
